About Aussie Ivrit

A Hebrew learning site built specifically for Australians — not adapted from somewhere else, but designed around Australian time zones, school systems, and the road from "curious" to "confident."

Why Aussie Ivrit exists

Most Hebrew learning resources are built for an American or Israeli audience first, with everyone else an afterthought. Aussie Ivrit starts from the other direction: what does an Australian actually need, and in what order do they need it? That's why the site is split into four practical categories — Learn Hebrew for the language itself, Travel Hebrew for a trip to Israel, Hebrew Exams for HSC, VCE, IB and beyond, and Study & Work for university and career paths on both sides of the world.

What's on the site

  • A full beginner-to-intermediate Hebrew course, covering the alphabet, grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation and real conversation.
  • A searchable Hebrew–English dictionary.
  • Interactive flashcard decks for spaced-repetition-style practice.
  • Practical guides for travel, school and university exams, and working life — in Australia and in Israel.
  • A blog with study tips and updates.

Who it's for

Complete beginners starting from zero, HSC and VCE students working toward an exam, people planning a trip to Israel, and anyone building a Hebrew-related career or qualification from Australia. If you're not sure where to start, the Hebrew for Beginners page is the natural first stop.
